UI Weekly Update

Don’t forget to log in to your MyUI+ account this weekend to certify for the final week of federal pandemic benefits. Per the American Rescue Plan Act, federal pandemic benefit programs including Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), Mixed Earners Unemployment Compensation (MEUC), and Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) will end on Monday, September 6, 2021.

Some unemployment claimants may have been issued Mixed Earners Unemployment Compensation (MEUC) benefit payments in error. CDLE is aware of this issue and is currently investigating.

As you know, federal pandemic benefit programs including PUA, PEUC, MEUC, and FPUC are ending this Saturday, September 4, and no benefits can be paid for these programs for any weeks after that date.

If you are currently receiving PUA, PEUC, and/or FPUC benefits, those benefits will end on that date.

As we have communicated in recent weeks, we are adding multi-factor authentication (MFA) to the MyUI+ login process in order to better safeguard Colorado unemployment claimants against scams and other attempts to compromise their accounts. All claimants will be required to set up MFA the first time they log into their MyUI+ accounts beginning tomorrow, Friday, August 20. You do not need to click any link to set up MFA. Just log into your MyUI+ account as normal.

Coloradans who have received unemployment benefits for at least one week beginning in 2021 can now qualify for $0 and low-cost health insurance plans through Connect for Health Colorado. Enrollment is open through August 15, but the sooner you apply and enroll, the sooner your coverage will begin.
