Governor Jared Polis, the Office of Just Transition (OJT) within the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), and the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced two new Coal Transition Community Assistance grants aimed at supporting local economic diversification efforts in Moffat and Rio Blanco Counties.

Press Release: Colorado Work-Related Fatalities Decreased in 2023

The Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI) program conducted by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s Office of Labor Market Information (LMI), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Labor and the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), reveals Colorado had 83 work-related fatalities in 2023.
