CPS data are presented as 12-month moving averages. Each monthly data point is an average of that month and the previous 11 months.

2026 CPS Data (Excel Files)
Due to the federal government shutdown in 2025, CPS data for October 2025 were not collected and are not included in the CPS data files from January 2026 through September 2026. Data files through September 2026 are based on 11-month averages.
